SOME QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU NEED ON OUR FIRST MEETING?
The initial meeting is an opportunity for you to meet with us at a convenient time. We will bring our insurance documents, registration details and CRB checks for you to view. We will also bring our information pack which includes booking form, price list and relevant information. At the same time we will be able to meet your pet/s and discuss your requirements. If all parties are happy to proceed we will go through the booking forms with you. We will also need to be shown around the areas where your pet is allowed and what the routine would be with them. Please allow approximately 20 - 30 minutes for this process as it is important that we have all relevant information to ensure that your pets and home are taken care of to the very best of our ability.
All completed paperwork will be stored safely for future bookings. Animal Eden are compliant with the Data Protection Act and will never share or store your information without your express permission in writing.
WHAT ABOUT HOME SECURITY?
We are very aware that in order for us to provide our services to you, we will need access to your home, most of our clients provide us with a set of keys although some have key safes. We are happy to offer the service that you prefer. We would also like to reassure you that we always take the security of your home and the safety of your pets very seriously. We don't just expect you to take our word on that, we can provide CRB checks, but more importantly the testimonials of our valued clients who have used our services regularly for many years. your keys are stored in a safe and they do not display any identifiable information. Furthermore we are fully insured and are also covered for loss of keys and lock replacement should the need ever arise. Our vehicle also does not have any signage, nor do we wear uniforms as we do not want to highlight the fact that you may not be at home.
CAN YOU PROVIDE US WITH REFERENCES?
We have excellent references, and more importantly, long term clients past and present who would be happy to chat with you and answer any questions that you have. We also hold CRB Certificates issued by the Criminal Investigations Bureau.
HOW LONG DO YOUR DOG WALKS LAST AND WHAT IFÂ THE WEATHER IS REALLY BAD?
Your dog will spent at least an hour on her walk with us, exceptions are weather extremes where your dogs health or safely are at risk, if this is the case we may curtail the walk, but would always make sure that your dog has a toilet break at the very least (thankfully this is a rare occurance). As a general rule, we walk in all weather conditions, sometimes we find we have the whole area to ourselves!  As we only cover the local area, transportation times are minimal, although depending on traffic your dog could be out with us for a couple of hours or more. Our vehicle is very dog friendly and comfortable. We find most dogs will take a well earned nap after their walk until we drop them home.
WHAT IS A TYPICAL WALK LIKE?
We could say that there is no typical walk as such, as depends on the dogs, their energy levels, age and preferences. Our main aim is to provide safe exercise, lots of fun and interaction, however we cater for the individual dog's requirements
CAN YOU LOOK AFTER RODENTS?
We are insured to walk 6 dogs each, however that seems excessive to us. Local Bylaws stipulate a maximum of 4 per handler in Bromley parks. We choose to keep our group walks small. For us a maximum of 3 dogs per person. This enables us to give all the dogs our individual attention, even on a practical level, with a large group of dogs it really is impossible to pick up poo's when they all "go" at a similar time. Doggie Poo in Autumn leaves!! very tricky to find!! On another level, if we ever fail to find a poo, we will pick up other stray poo's we find on our walk!! Who said dog walking wasn't glamorous.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE FOR YOUR VISITS?
Aside from the obvious, such as plenty of your pets favorite food, clean bowls and litter trays/housing, the one thing that we use copious amounts of is kitchen roll, we use it for all of the cleaning up jobs, and drying bowls etc. once washed, so please leave plenty unless you would like us to use tee towels or something else. Dustpan and brush, broom and pet-safe disinfectant always come in handy too. We do ask for whereabouts of these items on the booking forms too.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT
We prefer bank transfer to the Animal Eden business bank account, and we will invoice you prior to your trip with details on how to pay. We can accept cash by prior arrangement if you would prefer this.
WHAT IF WE NEED TO CANCEL A BOOKING?
We try to keep this as simple as possible, we are busy all year round, and particularly during public holidays. We understand that cancellations are inevitable on occasion, however If we take a booking from you in advance, it may mean that we turn other potential bookings away, as such any cancellations will incur 50% of the due balance if the cancellation is received within 4 weeks of the booking. Cancellations giving at least 4 weeks notice will not incur any charges. Also any last minute bookings that are cancelled within the 4 week period will also be required to pay 50% of due balance. We have thought long and hard about our cancellation policy and think this is fair for you and for us.
ARE YOU FULLY INSURED AND POLICE CHECKED?
We are fully insured and have been with the same insurer for 9 years. We also hold CRB checks and will bring our certificates and policy documents to our first meeting.
